EVERSIO.CoD4 goes European02/27/2010
Posted by: miKK

Our CoD4 team had been quite quiet recently. The team had reduced their game since TEX 09, and had only been taking part in some small local competitions and playing once in a while, mainly due to the restrictions of several of the members, as well as due to the overall slump in the scene.
However,
Matthew 'Matli' Bajada and
Marco 'PK' Bugeja have decided to return with full force to high level competitive CoD4, yet this time, without the rest of their Maltese teammates.
To press on their huge potential, Matli and PK have decided to go about getting to the top of the scene with three other foreign players, rather than Maltese.
After a few weeks of trials, EVERSIO has finally settled on a new and improved CoD4 roster:
The first addition is
Rick 'liquor' Lowissen, who used to be part of
NWA, joined by the former
KomaCrew and
unique player:
Henrik 'Terry-' Villa. The last recruit is
Andreas 'midnajt' Frosberg, who played for
AIMAZING,
TmG and
sTRASH.
Statement from Matthew 'Matli' Bajada: "We might be a new team, and we still have many things to iron out, but our results already seem very promising, and with time, and the right opportunities we are confident that we can become a top team; we plan on attending any worthwhile EU LANs that come our way."
The new EVERSIO lineup:
Matthew 'Matli' Bajada
Marco 'PK' Bugeja
Rick 'liquor' Lowissen
Henrik 'Terry-' Villa
Andreas 'midnajt' Frosberg
Matthew 'Metju' Barbara,
Clint 'GAS' Ascolese and
Neville 'nevi' Zammit will still be around, but will not make part of the active CoD4 team.
Mike 'm1ke' Sladden on the other hand has been removed from the team on retiring to play WoW.

EVERSIO.CoD4 featured in Conglomeration10/07/2009
Posted by: miKK

Marco 'PK' Bugeja and Mike 'm1ke' Sladden have been highlighted in a CoD4 minimovie going by the name of Congolmeration.
Dejavu, the creator of the fast-paced, hard-hitting three-minute wonder, managed to concoct a series of juicy frags from players around Europe, and amalgamate them into one fluid visual, synchronised to every beat.
m1ke makes an appearance five times throughout the minimovie, flaunting his own impressive aim, his triumphs including taking down four Team-Dignitas players on District and easily dismantling the entire CEFO and nGize lineups with his AK47.
PK, on the other hand, makes three momentous appearances. His heroics include downing four TCM players through a smokescreen on Backlot, performing his death pirouette to down four Celsus members with his AK74 and Deagle on Strike, and successfully defending a bombsite in Backlot against five Revolution players with just his battlesense and SMG.
This movie marks yet another accomplishment of Maltese eSport athletes as well as EVERSIO in distinguishing themselves amongst European counterparts.

eversio at WeblaN.BlackWidow09/23/2009
Posted by: miKK

project EVERSIO will be fielding several of its members to the upcoming WeblaN.BlackWidow - a new series of LANs backed by Compleet-IS. The event will be held between the 18th and the 21st of September at the Suncrest Hotel in Qawra. The event will feature a large variety of tournaments, including the classics: CoD4, CoD2 and FIFA, Trackmania, some RTS variety in C&C3 and Company of Heroes, FIFA09, as well as Wii tournaments for Boxing and Tennis.
The administration team for WebLAN includes two of EVERSIO's very own in William 'Kamadake' Cachia and Gianluca 'BIX' Magro, who will also be taking part in the Command & Conquer 3 tournament. Our Call of Duty 4 team will be in attendance, and this will be their last offline event for the game. However players Marco 'PK' Bugeja and Matthew 'Matli' Bajada cannot make it due to military duties and offshore business respectively.
To compensate, we will be bringing in two stand ins, being Kyle 'crisis' Galea from deciZion, probably the best CoD2 player in the country, and Kenny 'desert' Polidano, who happens to be teamEXG's sniper. Despite having four out of five new players playing for the first time at LAN together, our aims and expectations are the same as always: 1st Place.

A third cup we will be participating in is the ESL Summer League 2009. We had dropped out of the Spring League due to inconvenient playing times which clashed with match times of other cups. This followed our victory and 1st place at the Winter League Division 2, so this season, we will be trying to emulate that result, albeit we will no longer be competing in Division 2 now.

GAS completes CoD4 team09/23/2009
Posted by: miKK

After an intensive trial, we are pleased to announce that we have found the ideal candidate for the fifth spot in our Call of Duty 4 team, after the departure of
Luigi 'Killa' Farrugia and
Cain 'caiN' Azzopardi.
The new face will be
Clint 'GAS' Ascolese, who recently came first place at the ClubLAN'09 CoD4 tournament with
Infernal Gamers. GAS had long been a thorn in the side of EVERSIO, first with
Xynoptic at ClubLAN'08, and more recently with Team-MMD/Infernal Gamers, however, Clint is now one of our own.
This lineup will be the last change in our CoD4 lineup, as the game scene is rapidly dying down due to the imminent release of Modern Warfare 2. EVERSIO will be looking to finish the last two online cups it is engaged in: CM Storm 2 and ESL Summer League, and end CoD4 in the last local LAN tournament for the game: WebLAN.BlackWidow. Following these events, EVERSIO.CoD4 will be taking a break, awaiting the release of Modern Warfare 2.
Current CoD4 Lineup:
Matthew 'Metju' Barbara
Marco 'PK' Bugeja
Matthew 'Matli' Bajada
Mike 'm1ke' Sladden
Clint 'GAS' Ascolese
Neville 'nevi' Zammit [backup]

eversio at ClubLAN'0908/09/2009

Whilst our CoD4 team was in Denmark, EVERSIO was attending another local LAN event; ClubLAN'09 is the third in a series of four-day LANs organised by Club-Gaming; the 2009 edition was hosted at the University Common Room in Msida. With just 55 gamers in attendance, the event was marketed to be a fun LAN, rather than a competitive one, but even so, there was heated competition in the tournaments organised, including CoD4, C&C3: Kane's Wrath, Quake 3, FIFA and GRID.
EVERSIO manager mikk was in attendance as a Club-Gaming executive, whilst both RTS members Kamadake and BIX where important members of the administration. However apart from organising and administering the LAN, the EVERSIO members had an opportunity to play in some of the leagues, most importantly, the C&C3 Kane's Wrath tournament: the game in which most of our RTS squad specialise.

Both BIX and Kama also took part in the Quake 3 Arena Deathmatch competition, placing first and second respectively. mikk placed third in the Kane's Wrath Tournament.
With three EVERSIO members in the administration of the LAN, we are proud and honoured when attendees state that this was one of the best LANs of the Summer period, hence it wasn't simply a competitive triumph as competitors, but also an organisational triumph for the excellence in execution.
